Problems of a girl..
By Lana Fernando
I hold my head up high,
as if nothing can come my way,
too many stories told,
too many past away.
The reflection in my mirror,
is not what i can see,
that beautiful girl looking back,
she just cannot be me.
The mirror tells a story,
one that i cannot.
It is lieing to me daily,
i hate it, all the lot.
I see something different,
staring back at me,
i wish it would go away,
someone set it free.
But no one looks in the mirror,
quite like i can,
This body image portrayal,
is my personal unrealistic sham.
I hate the sight of it,
everyday,everynight,
why wont you go away,
this battle i will fight.
Will you tell me what i need to here,
when it comes to my reflection,
will it be some simple words,
to ease a proper correction?
Tell me what i need to here,
to confirm my self esstem,
to stop being envious,
because perfection comes in green.

-I'm freezing in the Sun, I'm burning in the rain, The silence I'm screaming, I'm calling out your name.
